I saw you on the street Walking slowly You walked right past me Without noticing I followed you downtown It was raining I wanted to run up and say hello I love you Her eyes – windows of the night Her hair – the scent of chestnut wine Her eyes – windows of the night Her hair – a deeper state of mind I saw you in the square Walking slowly You didn’t seem aware Of the time of day I followed you uptown To the corner You stopped in a doorway and disappeared I love you Her eyes – windows of the night Her hair – holds the evening light Her eyes – touch something inside Her hair – unfolds my tangled mind Her hair – braided with the night

Can you take calamity and sprinkle her with stars? A vagabond sings, hallelujah Can you change direction when you’ve lost who you are? A drifter replies, hallelujah Can you hear heaven in the dribble of the rain? The abbey resounds a hallelujah Can you find the moonbeam buried in the lane? A dreamer begins a hallelujah Look up at the weeping world She fumbles on the edge Her Spirit is almost dead And I sing my song Daffodils scream from the yellow of their eyes Long days of freedom bring longer nights A sinister glow in the Western sky People on the streets with hatred and signs Angels in the valleys and demons in the trees God is still watching, but He’s on bended knee Red is the colour of innocent blood White is for purity, honor and love [Refrain] Can a story be retold from another point of view To make up what we lost in the hurricane? Can you take misfortune and sprinkle her with stars? A vagabond sings, hallelujah Can you change direction when you’ve lost who you are? A drifter replies, hallelujah Can you hear heaven in the dribble of the rain? The abbey resounds a hallelujah Can you see the moonbeam buried in the lane? The minstrel boy plays a hallelujah Look up at the weeping world She fumbles on the edge Her Spirit is almost dead I sing my song

Ghost 03:40
Ghost, your ghost In the doorway Is a shadow of yesterday's dreams Hands, your hands Are moving And I can hear you breathe I won't see you in this world, I'll laugh a lot when the cool wind blows Ghost, your ghost Is dancing It brings me to my knees Lips, your lips I remember Your gentle soul is part of me I won't see you in this world, I'll laugh a lot when the cool wind blows Skin, your skin Is glistening But only in my dreams And I won't see you in this world, I'll laugh a lot when the cool wind blows

Aurora Sky 02:54
Oh, these farmer hands Fragile, friendly I see you a mile away Innocent and dreamy I owe my love to you I owe my gold to you Rumble tumble fields of grain Restless winters, aeroplane To rise above the circumstance In towers built by men of ages past We saw Aurora sky It’s red reflections burning in her eyes Uncanny corner store The mystery man motions to come inside I’ve found a radiance That drifts over the hills into our door Songbird, laughter Between the smoke room and the girl She prays for fire rain To melt away the smell of pain We met up at the pinwheel gate And staggered through the sunset pictureshow We saw Aurora sky Reaching round the moon to raid the night She saw the best in me Held a lantern close so I could read Under the balustrade A calming comfort awaits We were the rage that night A cabaret countenance of lights We saw Aurora sky It’s red reflections burning in her eyes Into an orphan dream The thrill of silence

Yesterday we learned ricochet Today we caught a hognose snake We made our peace in Angelfire Today we sleep in tumbleweed Yesterday we hopped a cannonball car We brushed our teeth with poison leaves We tamed the yellow-eyed jungle cat Today we feed on calabash Tomorrow let’s jump on a horse of steel and ride her down to the sea I don’t know much about prairie life; I know that I want to be free Yesterday we climbed the cottonwood Today we prayed with a Calico Queen We camped in fields of thistledown Today we dance on Buffalo Creek Yesterday that bright Fandango gal She broke my heart in the everglades We wrote our names on a whiskey drum Today she rides in Omaha Tomorrow let’s jump on a horse of steel and ride her down to the sea I don’t know much about prairie life; I know that I want to be free Yesterday we learned ricochet Today we caught a hognose snake We made our peace in Angelfire Today we sleep in tumbleweed Yesterday we hopped a cannonball car We brushed our teeth with poison leaves We tamed the yellow-eyed jungle cat Today we feed on calabash Tomorrow let’s jump on a horse of steel and ride her down to the sea I don’t know much about prairie life; I know that I want to be free

That misty morning we conquered the river Our search to find what the river knows Me and Donovan in the mouth of the jungle A quest to find out where the river flows These foaming rocks are cold and bitter I feel this underworld will swallow me The forest breathes but I can’t see the river A giant speaks and his river churns We walk the dreams of the sleepless river Our search to hold what the river holds That misty morning we conquered the river And now we know what the river knows

When the last bird it sings In the glass pepper trees Where shadows and silhouettes meet We ponder only in prose Geometry of a ghost On lazy quays in the towaway lane Hand-picked, soul gaze A friendly wave When staccato sung low We bore a well-mannered hole For to hide all our hologram cards She took me on for a day In her own little way It was the makeup, convinced me to stay Hand-picked, soul gaze A friendly wave Only the slumbering horse At the tea maker’s door Knows the way to the thirty year war When the nightingale sings In the dalmation trees Light will play on a skeleton key Hand-picked, soul gaze A friendly wave You clamber down from your bed Pull your socks up instead Write a book about dreaming in red

Kinora 01:49
Take my hand, let's roam this crazy world Don't give up, your courage is enough To take that road Life is a circle of changing patterns Go find yourself in the fields of memory

When you fall When you come home late And when you’re tall When you cannot wait And when you sleep And roll in bed between the sheets When you scratch your head Indigo dreams When you jump When you miss the train And when you’re stumped When you can’t complain And when you’re there And you take a moment to despair To smile for your friends Moulin-à-vent Sweet in suede Her hands are satin They’re formed in grace Our worlds collide Like rain-drenched streets Two mangled mountains out of reach On borrowed time An echo of hello Goodbye When she laughs When the driveway’s empty And when you crash As the world turns When the breeze Comes like a ghost among the trees Nights are long; the days are cold She wants to race you home When you fly When frenzy follows And when you’re scared When you lose your voice And when you change And thoughts are slightly disengaged When your deepest memories are gray Moulin-à-vent Sweet in suede Her hands are satin They’re formed in grace Our worlds collide Like rain-drenched streets Two mangled mountains out of reach Unfettered wings This rusty boat These restless dreams Undaunted love Unchartered seas Awaken my soul When you fall When you come home late And when you’re tall When you cannot wait And when you sleep And you roll in bed between the sheets When you scratch your head Indigo dreams

Star Swing 04:15
There’s a star swing in an acrobat sky My friends who have been there know just what it’s like One day soon we’ll be waiting in line To hold on to the ropes and swing into the night I will run to the moon-kissed mountain And dip my hair in the hideaway fountain so free There’s a star swing in an infinite sky If you like zero gravity, you’ll enjoy the ride Through the green chamber door, past a courtyard of light Let go of the railing and kick your feet high I will run to the moon-kissed mountain And rinse my hair in the fringe of a fountain so free I will run to the moon-kissed mountain And dip my hands in the fringe of a fountain so free On that star swing in the acrobat sky We take off our sandals and wait for the sign The rooftops are glowing in the starlight tonight When the doorman gives signal, just let go and glide I will run to the moon-kissed mountain And rinse my hair in the fringe of a fountain so free I will run to the moon-kissed mountain And dip my hair in the fringe of a fountain so free And dip my hair in the slideaway fountain so free And drink from the magical fountain... On that star swing in an acrobat sky A feeling of weightlessness, we swing through the night

about

Kinora is a journey in sound; an animated reel of experiences put to music. The title track, although only a minute and forty-nine seconds, speaks to the ever-changing nature of life—a recurring theme.

The Kinora, an early motion picture device, turns images rapidly to create a short film. In the same way, songs on the album are like word-picture collages that combine to create an atmosphere.

All songs were born out of rawness and transparency. The year of 2017 was one of joy, sorrow, tragedy and change. Therefore, many of the songs were born out of a desire to overcome adversity, or to embrace the unexpected turns in the circle of life.
